CREST PUMPS IN THE FINAL OF THE DBA 2014!

Crest Pumps Group have been selected as one of the top 3 finalists for the Family Business of the Year Award at the Dorset Business Awards 2014, down from the 70+ businesses that had either been nominated or applied.

The Dorset Business Awards, celebrating its 20th year running with the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry this year, awards local business under different categories managed by other local business to commend the breadth of success, enterprise and diversity of Dorset’s business community.

There are 10 awards covering a wide range of areas open for entry this year, including three new categories; the Business Growth Award, backed by new sponsor Advanced Exchequer, the Dorset Export Award sponsored by Atlas Elektronik UK, last year’s winner of the Company of the Year Award and the Excellence in Innovation Award, sponsored by ourselves and Liz Lean PR.

Crest Pumps are extremely proud to have reached this far in the Family Business of the Year category as the company and the Dashwood family have had a long and diverse history within Dorset area.

Crest Pumps started in 1973, with Les Dashwood, who founded the company from nothing to a reliable pump manufacturer with clients such as Rolls Royce and BAE Systems. The company grew to new heights under the leadership of Tony Dashwood, who introduced new ranges and more efficient designs. And in 2011, Crest Pumps introduced the sister company, Crest Pumping Services, managed by James Dashwood, son of Tony Dashwood, distributing a totally new and effcient range of Magnetic Drive Pumps.

The DBA awards ceremony is on the 27th of November at the BIC.
