ROLLS-ROYCE - AMX RANGE

Rolls Royce saved costs and improved their ecological impact by achieving 22% greater efficiency whilst protecting their process thanks to the AMX magnetic drive range supplied by Crest Pumps.  

Rolls Royce are one of the UK’s largest designer and manufacturer of aerospace and defence motors, vehicles and engines.

The company were experiencing difficulty with one of their out-of-date process pumps, transferring chemicals from a tank to the production floor. The original pump – that was processing at low efficiency – continually leaking and causing disruption to the production line as a result of costing money and negatively impacting the environment. 

Crest Pumps supplied the highly efficient and highly reliable AMX magnetic drive pump. The AMX range was the right solution for Rolls Royce as the mag drive range came with run-dry protection to stop the pump failing due to running dry indefinitely, as well as the pumps ex-stock availability, meaning we could get the pumps delivered next day – alleviating any downtime for Rolls Royce. The AMX is the industry standard in safe pumping of corrosive and harsh applications and therefore was the most suited pump for the specified liquid.

Having the AMX range installed improved energy efficiency on the process line by 22% annually compared with the previous pump and over 18% to the AMX’s nearest competitor (Pump LLC evaluation). Built to ISO9001 and ISO 14001 standard.

As a result of utilising the AMX range, Rolls Royce save 22% annually on their process overheads as well as alleviating downtime thanks to our ex-stock availability and next day delivery.
